Welcome to the discussion forum for instructors who have adopted Introduction to the Biology of Marine Life, 8E. The purpose of the instructor's forum is to help all of us as we work to improve our teaching of marine biology.

1. We all have good ideas for how to explain a difficult concept, or an in-class demonstration, or a good homework exercise. Unfortunately, many of us are isolated in our own professorial worlds, and it is difficult to exchange these good ideas. If you think you have a good idea for teaching a specific topic, , please consider sharing these ideas via the forum. We've posted our own ideas to get it started.

2. If you have questions about the textbook, you can ask us and get a fairly rapid response. Your questions will help us to identify materials that may need for improvement for subsequent editions.

3. If you find major problems (errors, text descriptions that are unclear, etc.), this forum provides a means for you to share these problems with us (so we can fix them in the next reprint or edition) and with other instructors (as a "heads-up" to problems that the instructor may need to address with their students)

If you have other ideas for how this forum could be used to the benefit of the members (instructors), we would be happy to consider implementing those ideas as well.
